EPIC Training

What is EPIC Training? EPIC is an acronym for Equipping Parents In Child Training.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.   Proverbs 22:6

You can teach a child without training him, but you can’t train a child without teaching him. It takes both.

You have an EPIC job, and Faith Journey is serious about equipping parents for one primary reason:

Because nobody can do your job like you can.

What happens in EPIC Training Sessions? This is the format we generally follow:

  1. What to teach. (7-8 minutes)
  2. How to teach. (7-8 minutes)
  3. How to train. (30 minutes)

When do we meet?

We meet twice a month; once on the first Sunday of the month after the worship service and fellowship meal, and then again two weeks later following the worship service.  Lunch will be provided at the second session. Please note that due to holidays or inclement weather meeting dates may be changed. You can view the Faith Journey Event Calendar here to see the upcoming dates.  See below for the 2016 training schedule.

Childcare is provided during the EPIC Training sessions.
